| Big wins for HCC, JKICC in Gurfan T20 Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, June 11: Haryana Cricket Club (HCC) and JK Imamia Cricket Club (JKICC) won their respective matches to advance in the next round of the ongoing 7th Gurfan Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the first match of the day, HCC trounced Lucknow Cricket Club (LCC) by a big margin of 163 runs. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, HCC set a target of 182 runs for the loss of six wickets. Sachin played a fine knock of 30-ball 57 runs with the help of two sixes and five boundaries while Gurjinder contributed 31 runs. From LCC, Amit and Madhukar clinched two and one wicket respectively.
In reply, LCC could not chase the total and the whole side bowled out for just 19 runs in 10 overs. From HCC, Sanjeev and Amarjeet took two wickets each. Sachin of Haryana Club was adjudged man of the match.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, JKICC registered a 94 runs victory over
Jharkhand Cricket Club (JCC).
Batting first, JK ICC made 186 runs losing seven wickets. Farooq and Majid scored 45 and 37 runs respectively. From JCC Jitender took two wickets. In reply, JCC lost all their wickets for 92 runs in 13 overs. Sanjay and Mudassir contributed 22 and 14 runs respectively. From JKICC, Sarwar and Dilawar took three and two wickets.
Farooq of JK Islamia Club was adjudged as man of the match.
