Sarvjeet Soodan guides KAS students for interview

JAMMU, June 11: Selected recently for the IAS, Sarvjeet Soodan of the state, in an interactive session guided the young KAS aspirants, who are preparing for the interview at SR College of Competitions here.
The session focused on the perspective, attributes and skills of the personality test, how to select and prepare for relevant topics, tips to improve verbal communication skills, projecting a confidant body language, effective use of non-verbal communication, tackling issues related to current events and the importance of mock interviews.
Students were guided regarding do's and don'ts of the interviews, which have already been scheduled by the State Public Service Commission (PSC) from July four.
A qualifier of both KAS and IAS examinations, Dr Soodan motivated the target students for aiming at the IAS while preparing for the KAS examination, which otherwise is not impossible to crack.
He said that last year's selections, including topper, Shah Faisal and this year's record 14 men and women from the state making it to the UPSC selection list was witness to the fact that our students can also crack the highest examination of the country.
Giving more information, Director of the College, Parveen Sharma said, "The 97th ranked, Dr Sarvjeet Soodan while sharing his personal experiences briefed students about the areas to be focused by the students like educational background, optional subjects, achievements, current affairs and issues with regard to social, economic and political aspects relating to the state of J&K".
