| Thousands throng Asa Ram’s ashram to attend discourse | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 11: Thousands of devotees thronged to Bhagwati Nagar Ashram despite complete Chakkajam of public transport today to listen to the ambrosial discourses of Shri Asa Ram Bapu.
Asa ram Bapu who was expected to arrive here at Bhagwati Nagar ashram yesterday, could not manage to reach till 11 am in view of addressing the devotees at Kathua, Gangyal, Ttapeyal, Dhamyal, Samba, Ramgarh where the followers in thousand were waiting to welcome him.Thousands of devotees at Bhagwati Nagar Ashram who were eagerly waiting for giving rousing welcome to Bapu had to return disappointed when they came to know about his night stay at Ramgarh (Vijaypur).Delivering sermons on Shrimad Bhagwad Gita, Bapuji quoted Lord Krishna,” the eternal jeevatma in this body is a particle of my own being.”The Jiva contains the divinity in the seed state, when provided with a suitable environment this seed sprouts and gradually grows into a giant tree.
A sadhaka should completely protect the seed of divinity and avoid the company of non sadhakas to bring purity in his food and conduct; ward off desires and anger as also give up the bad habits of indulging in unnecessary talking and getting involved in worldly affairs, adding he said as soon as you go on assimilating the saint’s grace, the doors to bliss will get opened one after another.Bapu further said said, ”As an ass only bears the load of sandalwood, oblivious to the supreme qualities and fragrance there of; similarly those who are egocentric end up bringing the burden of life. But those who have devoted their intellect to their real self, get to enjoy the sublime fragrance of the sandalwood of their Atma. Infact Sadguru’s grace is showering incessantly, but what remains to be seen is how much our heart is open to receive it, adding he said Describing worldly bondage as the main cause of all miseries and pains, Asa Ram Bapu disclosed that necessities of life can very easily be fulfilled but desires/wants are the greatest bondages.Wants can never fulfilled, they can only give fillip to conflicts, chaos and unrest.He emphasized that urge to know the Self is the only achievement rather goal in life as it is the only instrument which paves a way to realize God.Chanting of Om mantra continuously for fifteen to twenty minutes helps the individual to keep wavering mind rest in peace.
Emphasizing the significance of Mantra Diksha, he quoted lord Shiv who necessitated getting Goddess Parvati initiated through Vaamdev Guruji
