JAMMU, June 12: Showering blessings on lakhs of devotees attending discourses on Srimad Bhagwad Gita here at Ashram premises, Bapu highlighted the significant glory of Satsang in these words: “The greatest of all austerities is Satsang as it is the biggest treasure of knowledge”.
Quoting Tulsidas , he said, “ A single ghadi (24 minutes) or even a half, may be it halved again, spent in the company of a saint frees us from innumerable sins”.
Bapu disclosed Ravana too did gain Lanka made of gold through atrocities, but his golden Lanka could not give him what Vishishma attained from Satsang.
Delivering sermons on Srimad Bhagwad Gita Bapu described “Gita” as a universally acclaimed book of religion.
Quoting Gandhi Ji’s words he said, “I wish that Gita should be taught not only in the national schools but also in every educational institutions being a book of universal religion”.
Bapu disclosed that Politicians have deprived the society of the supreme benefits of Sanatam Dharma by confirming even this great religions to sectarian limits.
Prior to todays’s religions sermons, thousands of beginners (new devotees) were initiated with “Mantra diksha” Children were initiated with Saraswati Mantra while the adults were initiated with various vedic mantras suitable to the choice and faith of the devotees.
