| Chota Amarnath Yatra at Thajiwara, Bijbehara on 13th August | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 12: – Devesthan Prabandak Committee Tehsil Bijbehara held a meeting to chalk out a programme for successful conduct of Thajiwara Yatra on the eve of Shravan Puranmashi on 13th August 2011.
Thajiwara Yatra is an inseparable part of Swami Amarnath Cave pilgrimage. The ancient holy cave temple, popularly known as Chota Amarnath is at Thajiwara, Bijbehara in Anantnag district.south Kashmir.
The arrangements for this yatra are always made under the auspices of Devasthan Prabandhak committee,Tehsil Bijbehara.
A delegation of three members under Raj Nath Tikoo,vice president of the committee will be deputed to the valley to make all the arrangments for the safety and convenience of the pilgrims such as lodging,Langar,water supply,electricity etc.
The newly constructed Cave Temple will be given finishing touches under the supervision of the members of the delegation. The delegation will also approach the district administration for cooperation for smooth and peaceful conduct of Yatra of “Pracheen cave of Lord Shankar at Thajiwara Bijbehara”.
