Mir exhorts youth to safeguard natural resources

TANGMARG, Jun 12: Saying that Jammu and Kashmir is blessed with abundant natural resources, Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that we should fetch optimum benefit from these resources for economic stability.
Minister was addressing a series of public meetings at Tangmarg, Check Terain and Ferozpora here today. He said that J&K has lot of potential in tourism sector and efforts are being made to tap the potential of unexplored areas of the State. He said that new destinations across the state are being included in the tourism map of adding that sustainable environmental friendly infrastructures are also being developed there.
Mir said that we have to work hard collectively and the time is not far away when J&K will attain economic stability”. He said that we have to safeguard State’s interests and ensure that our resources could not utilised for others interest”. He called upon the youth to join hands for safeguarding the interests and resources of the State.
Minister said that by channelizing our human resource available in market in a positive direction, no one can become hurdle for us to make J&K as developing a progressive State. Our youth is valuable asset and it is our duty to show them path of development and prosperity, he added.
Asking casual Labour cultural as it destroys youth’s ability and motivation for greater ideas, Mir urged to utilize the ability and energy of youth for setting up those entrepreneurship units in different trades, which have categorise for their market available within the state. He said that a scheme has already been launched by the government for facilitating in this direction.
Referring the establishment of Panchayats, Mir said that these democratic institutions are being empowered fully to decentralise the power at the grass root level. He said that these institutions would help for streamlining the governance to provide immediate relief to the people of the State. He said that you have great responsibility to fulfil the aspirations of voters.
