| NMC appeals PM, Dy Chairman PC | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jun 12: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) leader Subhash Shastri has appealed Prime Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission to include special package of Rs 5 thousand cores in the annual plan for year 2011-12 to enable government to disburse outstanding arrears of 6th pay commission.
Addressing a largely attended NMC workers rally here today, Shastri hoped that the planning commission would ensure lenient funding of Jammu and Kashmir. Shastri said that with price rise and inflation, salaried class is facing economic hardships, adding that raising income tax exemption limit from 1.80 lass to 3.00 lakhs would be genuine measure to provide some relief to them.
Other demands highlighted by Shastri on the occasion included release of wages of motivators working in IWDP besides their regularization. Issuance of orders of 180 daily wagers working in rural development department and timely release of wages of daily wages working in the various government departments
