Punjab wrestler Gani bags Umara More Kesari title

JAMMU, June 13: Belongs of Mallerkotla in Punjab, wrestler Abdul Gani bagged the 4th Annual Umara More Kesari dangal title outplaying Jawant of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi in the main bout that played at Umara More in Udhampur.
The winner bagged a cash prize of Rs 6000 while runners-up, Jaswant given away Rs 5000 by chief guest, senior BJP leader, Pawan Kumar Gupta, who was accompanied by president J&K Indian Style Wresling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma as also Amar Singh.
Working president of District Reasi J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Papu Lakri and district marketing officer, Virender Sharma were guests of honour. Sarpanch Romesh Chander, Jagdish Kumar and Vikram Salthia were among other prominent present.
This dangal was organized by Umara More Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
In all, 40 bouts were played in this day-long dangal. Second main bout between Binda of Garh Shanker and Rehmat Ali of Mallerkotla ended in a draw with the result both the contestants shared Rs 11,000 cash prize.
Third main bout went to Amit of Guru Hanuman Akhara Dlhi, who beat wrestler Kamaljit of Jallander. In the fourth between Teg Ali of Mallerkotla and Manjeet of Delhi again ended in a draw.
Other Results: Akram of Jammu beat Kuldip of Delhi; Dalerkhan of Jammu beat Jaggi of Jallender; Atterdin of Jammu beat Bittu of Delhi; Balvinder of Ramnagar beat Sukhram of Udhampur; Karnail Singh of Botate beat Ram Singh of Kalakot; Sunny of Jammu beat Sat Paul of Panchari; Javed of Nargada beat Veer Singh of Reasi; Amir Khan of Jammu beat Arjun of Panchari; Shobat Ali of Tadha beat Vijay of Choprashop; Billu of Ramnagar beat Anrej Singh of Ramnagar; Mumtaz of Ramnagar beat Bushan of Jammu; Ashok of Delhi beat Ajay of Landon Power House; Kuldip Singh of Bamhag beat Pawan of Reasi.
Bouts between Ravinder of Harayana and Pritam Singh and Veer Singh of Reasi and Romail Singh of Panchari ended in a draw.
