| 10 NSS volunteers of JU return from trekking, adv tour | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jun 13: A contingent of 10 NSS volunteers of the University of Jammu returned back from 10 days trekking and adventure tour at Kharapather and Haathkoti, organized by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport.
Volunteers were received back by Prof. Jasbir Singh, Programme Coordinator, NSS, University of Jammu who appreciated their zeal and congratulated then for representing University at the national level summer camp. These NSS Volunteers were selected from different colleges on the recommendation of the University of Jammu.
These volunteers were trained in Rock Climbing, water sports, swimming, 'water rafting and also in rescue operations. NSS Volunteers thanked the University of Jammu for providing them an opportunity to get training in such a prestigious Training Institute and learn different adventurous sports and techniques of rescue operations under the banner of National Service Scheme, University of Jammu.
