'100 illegal votes cast in a Budhal Panchayat'
Candidate moved Appellate court challenging the election, demands re-polling

Rajouri, June 13: Although being a big crime, there are reports that some candidates in Budhal area have allegedly managed entry of voters in more than one voter lists to support particular candidates in recent held Panchayat elections. A candidate in this regard has moved appellate court challenging about 100 votes in Morha A Panchayat of this block.
As per reports, a defeated candidate Haji Mir Hussain of Morha A panchayat has moved Appellate Court claiming that there are 100 votes which have been illegally polled in the area. The Court has yet to decided the fate of the candidate but it is put question mark on the working of the Block Level workers who had been assigned the job of revision of the electoral rolls before the election as there are about 100 votes which have been doubly entered in the voter lists and defeated candidate has claimed that all of them have cast vote.
In his petition moved through Advocate Choudhary Qamar Hussain, Mir Hussain has alleged that in his panchayat a militant's vote has been cast who is absconding in police record. He has also mentioned that 22 voters of same Panchayat have cast double votes in Ward number 1, 2, 3 & 5 of the same Panchayat as there names exist on the voter list.
It has said in the petition that atleast 11 votes of Morha B Ward 1, 2 & 3 have been cast in Morha A also.
As per petition, atleast 8 votes of Kotranka Ward number 8 have been cast in Morha A also whereas 2 votes of Lurkoti ward number 3 were also cast in the Morha A.
He has added that 2 votes of Jaglnnoo ward number 2, 7 votes of Draj ward number 5, 3 votes of Sunderbani ward number 1 and 2 votes of Jammu Municipal Corporation Ward number 28 were also cast in Morha A panchayat.
He has also alleged that 6 persons who are dead in police record of Kotranka also cast vote in Mohra A.
Besides this he has alleged that 15 votes which were actually not mentioned on the Voter list have also cast vote after somebody entering their names with Pencil on the voter list on the same day of election.
