| Excise squad destroys Poppy cultivation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JUNE 14- Continuing the drive of destroying illegal cultivation, the squad of Excise Department in coordination with Revenue and Police Departments conducted raid at various villages of Shopian district and destroyed Poppy cultivation.
Poppy cultivation on about 470 kanals of land was destroyed by the squad. The villages where poppy was being cultivated include Haji Chak, Mispur, Presscheck, Aru, Buchpora, Nazimpora in district Shopian. The Excise department warned the locals to desist from such illegal activities or face stern action as under law.
