| Kishtwar aghast over `increase in crime rate' | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Kishtwar June 14:- People in Kishtwar took to streets on Tuesday morning to protest `incrferase incrime rate'.
In fresh incident, a student of 10th class from Sir Iqbal Academy Kishtwar, Amir Hussain Naqeeb (15 years) Son of Altaf Hussain Naqeeb Resident of Ward No:7 Municipal Committee Kishtwar received grave injuries after he was attacked by a group of youths with sharp edged weapons just few meters away from every busy Tuition Center.
According to the eyewitnesses, a group of at least 6-7stopped Amir while he was on his way and in the mean time, they attacked him with sharp edged weapon and fled from the spot after inflicting injuries on Amir.
The people later blocked the highway and demanded immediate release of the culprits. The agitating people ended the protest after the assurance from Dy. SP Dar Kishtwar Mushtaq Ahme assured proper action
Meanwhile succumbing to public pressure, Kishtwar police arrested Ajay Kumar Rathore after a series of raid and registered an FIR No: 130 U/S 307/341/361/323 at police station Kishtwar against him and his other associates for assaulting on life of Amir Hussain.
