| DGPC election on June 23 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 14: Bhai Kanahiya Jee Nishkam Seva Society has welcomed the decision of the government to extend the dates of election for electing new body of District Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (DGPC) to June 23.
Addressing a meeting, chief organiser of the society, Mohinder Singh thanked Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla for supporting the move, which will allow better preparation for the conduct of smooth election for the various posts.
He urged the community to fully participate in the polls to ensure that right people are elected to the committee for management of religious places belonging to Sikh community.
Those who participated in the meeting included, Narbir Singh, president Shrimoni Youth Akali Dal, Paramjit Singh, president AISSF, Avtar Singh Khalsa, president United Secular Forum, Gajjan Singh, Sikh Welfare Society, Kulwant Singh, chief advisor, Sikh Nawjawan Sabha, Man Mohan Singh, chairman Gole Gujral, Harjit Singh, president Nirbow Nirban Society and Tenpal Singh Tipi.
