Terms Pak forces responsible for infiltration, says army is modernizing weapons

Terming Pakistan Army responsible for pushing militants towards Indian territory, General Officer in Commanding of Northern Command of Army Lt General KT Parnaik has said that Pakistan is more dangerous than China but Indian Army is well equipped to deal with any situation on
borders and Line of Control.
Talking to Media persons at 25 Infantry Division Headquarter in Rajouri, Parnaik said that Pakistan is threat to India more than China. “We have fought many wars with Pakistan and Pakistani forces
are still active in attempting to push militants towards this side”, he said adding that although China is also a big power, India has more security threat from Pakistan. He was responding to a query raised by
the reporters regarding activities of Pakistan and Red Army on the ALC and LOC.
Following attending public darbar at Rajouri GoC in C briefed media persons about the activities of army. He said that there is no doubt that Pakistani army is involved in infiltration and they are providing
every support to militants to push them this side but Indian army is vigil and nobody is being allowed to cross LoC. He said that if there will any attempt, Indian Army is ready to retaliate. “We have never
violated cease fire and Pakistani army always target our posts which instigate us to retaliate”, he said adding that Indian army is being equipped with modern weapons to deal with the militancy and the
programme of modernization of weapon is going on. “We are going to modernize our weapons and the process is on”, he said. GoC in C also hold visit of forward areas of Rajouri Poonch to access
the situation on Line of Control. He was accompanied by Lt General JP Nehra, 16 Core GoC and Major General Om Parkash 25 Infantry Division.
The GoC was given a detailed brief on the situation of Line of Control at head quarter of 25 Infantry Division at Rajouri. The GoC in C expressed satisfaction over the security situation in the state and
lauded the efforts of the Ace of Spades Division in accomplishing their task and achieving zero infiltration. He also highly appreciated cordial civil military liaison.
The army commander also interacted with the civil officers including Divisional Commissioner Dr Pawan Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri GA Khawaja, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajesh Kumar besides senior citizens of Rajouri and expressed his satisfaction over smooth conduct of Panchayat polls. He assured the gathering that army is for the people of the state and shall be always forthcoming in its
efforts to ensure lasting peace in the state. He also appreciated the army for launching various Sadbhavana projects in the area.
