| Cache of arms, explosives recovered in J&K | | |

Security forces have busted two militant hideouts and recovered arms and explosives in Poonch and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir during last 24 hours, defence sources said on Thursday.
On a tip off, security forces busted a militant hideout in Aramdaki area of Banihal in Doda district and recovered from it 15 kgs of white explosive and four aluminium antennas, they said.
From another hideout at Teli Mohalla in Salwah area of Mendhar tehsil in Poonch district, security forces recovered one AK-56 rifle and three Chinese-made hand grenades.
Meanwhile, Police arrested one Jia Lal from Kastigarh area in a search operation in Kishtwar area of Doda district and recovered from him one live grenade.
The arrested person has been sent for interrogation, the sources said. |
