Bazigar community face discrimination

Jammu, June 14:-
All J&K Bazigar welfare association in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Mukhtair Kalia, President of the Biradari Kartar Chand, Panchdisclosed that the Bazigar community is facing discrimination in every aspect of life since centuries. Thecommunity comprising of Hindu and Muslims
having population more than two lacs having Nil figure in the state and
central Govt. services in the state. The states Govt. he said have no policies for the upliftment of this community since Independences of the country. This community is living in a very miserable condition. Through community is in the state and a central list of “other Backward Classes” but the benefits of reservation does not reach to them. The state Govt. should have a special drive for the recruitment of most Backwardcastes and communities Viz. Bazigar, Sansi, Sikilighir, Bhand, Faquir, shaksaz. He urged the state Govt. to start the process of “CASTE BASED CENSUS-2011 AND FRESH DEMARCATION OF B.P.L.MASSES” of the state at an earlist for which union govt. has taken a very good decision to start from June and to be completed by the end of this year.and hope that this exercise will definitely give us the good results for the upliftment of most Backward communities.
Those who spokes in the meeting were Rattan Lal(Panch), Bila Ram (panch), Dev Raj (Panch), Milkhi Ram, Amar Chand, Jitender (Panch) Sewa Ram (Panch), Vijay Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Ram Lal, Mustaq Ahmad, Noor Mohd, Bashir Ahmed, Hamid Ullah, Mohan Lal and Soni Ram.
