State Centre Labour Union holds meet | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 14: State Centre Labour Union (Wing of National Conference) organized Press conference to highlight the achievements of the Union. Speaking in the press conference Nar Singh Narainia President of the Union disclosed that the employees of JK Mineral who have retired between 1999 to April 2004, his pending dues like grauties/living cashment/CP Fund/CMPF are pending. The State Centre Labour Union thanks Surjeet Singh Slathia, Minister for Industries and Commerce who solved the very long pending demand by giving the very huge amount (1.5 Crore) to distribute among the employees one to one. All the employees of JK Minerals thanked the Minister for Industries and Commerce Surjeet Singh Slathia and Chairman of JK Minerals. It is learnt that CPF contribution which are being deducted from the Salary/wages of the workers/employees are not being regularly deposited in the Provident Fund organization for the last so many years and it is also mentioned that the yearly CPF schedules are being provided to the workers/employees and the same may please be issued to the workers every year. The union also demands that the CPF deduction be enhanced from 8.33% to 12%. It is further submitted that the J&K Bank is providing 7.75% interest on the CPF being kept thereby Provident Fund office and SCLU demands that amount on CPF be transferred to some Nationalized bank, so that workers may get enhanced rate @ 100/0.
