| Garbage dumping invites protest against MC Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, June 15:A protest demonstration was today held at Bus stand Rajouri against Municipal Committee Rajouri for allegedly dumping garbage in the city areas. BJP has also organized separate protest on the same issue.
As per reports, a protest demonstration was held here at Bus Stand by the drivers supported by business men and local residents against illegal garbage dumping in the bus stand area. They alleged that MC Rajouri has failed to lift the garbage from the area which has turned a big problem for commuters, businessmen and locals.
The driver community on the occasion said that Bus Stand is their home and they spend most of his life there but they are not safe in such a polluted atmosphere where MC is putting whole the garbage of the area. “There is garbage dumps in open places at various corners of the Bus Stand and although we requested MC authorities to lift this garbage but they have still not lifted it which is creating problem for us”, a driver Lekh Raj said adding that they will went on strike if MC failed to lift the garbage till tomorrow.
Meanwhile in an another protest demonstration against the MC Rajouri, Bhartiya Janta Party activists took to the streets and alleged failure of MC Rajouri in managing proper dumping system of the city garbage. The protestors raised anti-MC slogans and served ultimatum of two days for lifting all garbage from the city areas. They said that if MC failed to do so they will come on streets and hold dharna.
