| Huge win for Gymkhana Club in Molvi Cricket | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, June 15: Kashmir Gymkhana Club hammered BCC Blues by 120 runs thereby made it huge win in the ongoing 3rd Molvi Masood Cricket Tournament at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here.
In fact, Obaid scripted Gymkhana win making 120 runs. He was ably supported by Zahoor, who contributed 68 runs.
Earlier, batting first Kashmir Gymkhana batsmen set a mammoth total of 302 runs losing five wickets in the allotted 40 over match. Obaid hit century while Zahoor completed his half century. From BCC, Shahnawaz claimed three wickets.
Later, chasing a huge target, BCC succumbed to the calculated bowling of Gymkhana and the while side bowled out for 143 runs in 37th over. Sami-ul-lah and Sahad claimed two wickets each.
City Cricket wins by 4 runs
Meanwhile, in the ongoing 10th Mirza Noor-ud-din Memorial Cricket Tournament at University of Kashmir ground, City Cricket defeated Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) by four runs.
Earlier, City Cricket won the toss and batting first made 85 runs in 29.4 overs. Manzoor and Mudasir contributed 19 and 18 runs respectively.
Later, DYSS lost all their wickets for 81 runs in 21.2 overs, courtesy six wickets haul by Amir. Amir was later awarded man of the match title for his match winning spell. |
