| Chairman XI wins by 53 runs in President Cup | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 15: Bowling out President XI for a partly total of 167 in 55.4 overs, Chairman XI today registered a comprehensive 53 runs win over President XI in the two-day match of the ongoing President Cup at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here.
Earlier, resumed their innings from overnight score of 78 for five in 30 overs, President XI could add only 89 more runs before whole side bowled out for 167 in 55.4 overs.
Amrit Pal Singh played patient innings and stayed at the wicket for long thereby keeping the one end intact. He faced 81 deliveries to make 29 runs. Vijay Dogra and Vishwajeet Singh also did a fine job contributing 21 and 29 runs respectively. Raman Thaploo added 13 runs to the total.
Deepak Manhas was most successful bowler from Chairman XI, who took three wickets for 20 runs in eight overs he bowled. Kuldeep also bowled well taking away two wickets for 20 runs in 10 overs while Dilawar Singh and Raman Dutta shared apiece each.
