| Hundreds participate in kabir jayanti celebrations | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 15: Bhagat Mahasabha J&K unit as usual celebrated 613th Prakash Utsav of Sadguru Kabir Sahib Ji today at Parade Ground, Jammu with traditional fervor and gaiety.
On the occasion, thousands of devotees from all over the Jammu province and from other ststes of india viz Punjab , Rajasthan , U.P, Haryana< Chatisgarh, Himachal, Chandigarh participated. Sh. Raj Kumar, National President Bhagat Mahasabha was the Chief Guest, whereas SSP basanth Rath was the guest of honour. The speakers impressed upon the masses to inculcate the spiritual and moral values in the tender minds of the kids , school going childrens and adults in order to free the society from evils like drug addiction, smoking, liquor consumption etc. This shall lead to social organization, educational, economical and religious development of the society, thereby indirectly helping the country to flourish with different kind of character.
The difference in the celebratins of this Kabir Jayanti in the past and present was evident from the fact that a number of KAS, KPS, IFS, IAS selectees were honoured including Doctors and Engineers selected in open merit in their Post Graduate those who got Ph.D Degree candidates securing 90% or more marks in 8th, 10th and 12th examinations, any extra-ordinary activity in sports or cultural programme, all newly elected Panches and Sarpanches of Megh Samaj to boost the morale of the community. With great applause from the masses, it seemed that it inspired thousands of new entrants in the competitive world. Espically women were requested to keep their childrens aware of teachings of Sadguru Kabir Sahib Ji and make them to attend Satsangs regularly in order to inculcate morale values amongst them.
The best part of the occasion was the devotional song sung by the renowned singers from Punjab which made the programme more exciting , enjoying enthusiasm amongst devotees.
The speakers on the occasion highlighted the importance of this occasion and demanded Gazetted Holiday on Kabir Jayanti. It was reitered that till date, the State Govt. should pay attention towards the genuine demand of lakhs of devotees of Sadguru Kabir Sahib Ji, majority of which are located in Jammu province and declare Holiday on this occasion of Sadguru Kabir Jayanti.
This will be great tribute to great saint of medieval period. Other speakers who spoke the occasion were Sh. Bodh Raj Bhagat, President, Dr. Rajesh Bhagat, OP Bhagat, Mohinder Bhagat, tara chand Bhagat, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, Vijay Bhagat, Sudesh Bhagat, Jai bhagat, Dr. Jaswant Bhagat, Swarn Lal Bhagat, Bali Bhagat, Ex. MLA Smt. Sheela Bhagat, Smt. Chanchla Bhagat and Daya Ram Bhagat.
