| JKOA to hold Olympic Day run on June 29 | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 15: Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association (JKOA) is holding Olympic Day run on June 29 at Summer Capital as part of the Olympic moment in the country.
Assisted by the Union Ministry of Sports, the Olympic run will be of nine kilometers starting from Bakshi Stadium Srinagar.
“Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has consented to be chief guest in the flag off ceremony while the Union Minister for Sports, Ajay Malik shall receive the athletes. The visiting guest shall also give away certificates and other prizes in a special function to be held at SKICC,” president of JKOA, Rangil Singh told the press here today.
Besides sports persons of the state, young students from 30 educational institutions have also been invited to take part in the Olympic run.
Among others present were representatives from different sports bodies of the state.
