| IGP inaugurates police barrack | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, JUNE 16:- Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone. Dilbagh Singh inaugurated Dinning Hall at Jagriti old age home near Billan Bowali, Udhampur, which was constructed under civic plan at a cost of Rs. 10.21 lac here today.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, Jagjit Kumar, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur. Baseer Ahmed Khan, Senior Superintendent of Police. Surinder Gupta and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, IGP appreciated the efforts of the Management Committee (NGO) for the smooth functioning of Jagriti old age home. He assured that all possible help would be provided by the police department to the old age persons and especially orphans so that they become good citizen of tomorrow as a part to strengthening the police public relation.
IGP said that the police department has already been taken precautionary measures for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and also appreciated the better coordination of Udhampur people for this noble cause.
He also inaugurated the Police Barrack & Lav. Block in the premises of Police Station Udhampur. It has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 30 lacs for the comfortable stay of police personnel so that they can perform their duties efficiently.
