Rs 5,800 fine recovered from erring shopkeepers, hoteliers

SRINAGAR, June 16:

The market checking squad of enforcement wing of CA &PD Anantnag today
carried out surprise checking of hotels, tabbas and other business
establishments in Anantnag and Seer Akad markets.

During the inspection, the squad destroyed one and a half quintal
rotten vegetables on the spot and compounded a fine of Rs 5,800 from
the erring shopkeepers and hoteliers.

Meanwhile, the shopkeepers and other business holders were warned to
refrain from unscrupulous trade practices. They were directed to
display rate lists in their establishments and keeping available
quality products for the customers.
