| 13th Police Football tournament from June 22 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR JUNE 16:
The Jammu & Kashmir Police is going to organize the 13th Police
Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament-2011 from June 22 at Srinagar in
memory of martyrs of J&K Police. 48 teams including six from outside
the State are expected to participate in the tournament.
In this regard, the Additional Director General of Police, Armed/Law &
Order, K. Rajendra today convened a meeting and reviewed the
arrangements being made for the said tournament. Heads of various
committees constituted for the smooth conduct of the event briefed the
ADG about the arrangements for players and officials particularly
their board and lodge.
Threadbare discussions were held with regard to traffic and parking,
security, sanitation, Police bandobust, opening and closing
ceremonies, refreshment, food, medical aid etc.
Rajendra stressed upon the organizing committee to make the event a
memorable one and a success.
The meeting was attended by IG Armed, Kashmir, Zahoor Hussain
Chishti, DIGs, Rouf ul Hassan, A Q Manhas and various commandants of
IRP and Armed battalions.
Later, the ADG along with other officers visited the venues and gave
on the spot instruction.
