UDHAMPUR, June 16: Gen V K Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, ADC, Chief of the Army Staff accompanied by Bharti Singh, President Army Family Welfare Organization, arrived at Yol on a two day visit.
They were received by Lt Gen AK Choudhary, AVSM, SM, VSM, GOC, Rising Star Corps and Madhuri Choudhary, Chairperson Family Welfare Organization.
This is the Army Chiefs first visit to Rising Star Corps after assuming the command of Indian Army. The Army Chief during his visit reviewed the operational preparedness of the Rising Star Corps and was briefed by the Corps Commander on operational, training and administrative matters.
Gen VK Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, ADC, applauded the state of operational preparedness and expressed his confidence that the Rising Star Corps was prepared for all challenges and will execute the assigned tasks in a befitting manner meeting the aspirations of the nation.
Bharti Singh, President Army Family Welfare Organization, inaugurated the Amazement park inside Yol Cantt and also interacted with families and children.
Gen VK Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, ADC Chief of Army Staff and Bharti Singh, President Army Family Welfare Organisation, will leave for New Delhi on June 17, 2011.
