DIG hand over sports stadium to Dalogra residents

Rajouri, June 16
Deputy Inspector General of Police Rajesh Kumar along with other senior police officers today handed over mini sports stadium to theresidents of Dalogra village. The stadium has been constructed by the
police under Civic Action programme launched by the police recently in whole the state.
Police sources said that Deputy Inspector General of Police, Poonch Rajouri Range Rajesh Kumar along with Senior Superintendent of Police Anand Jain and Assistant Superintendent of Police Choudhary Shabir Ahmed inaugurated Sports Stadium Dalogra and handed it over the locals
for their use.
The Stadium was constructed in campus of Government High School Dalogra Rajouri in the name of Police Martyr Late Deputy Superintendent of Police Ghani Shyam Khajuria.
The work has been executed under by Police Department exclusively under Civic Action Programme to promote sports activities for dedicating it to public.
The work of construction was completed under the supervision of Additional SP Rajouri Mohammad Shabir and Technical staff of PWD Sub Division Rajouri. Among others Principal Government High School Dalogra was also present on the occasion.
While addressing the participants DIG thanked the Principal and all the staff members who have unanimously gave their consent for construction of Stadium in the School area. An eleven member sport
committee comprising of six retired, serving teachers and respectable has already been constituted.
DIG Rajesh Kumar on the occasion said that it is a tribute to Shaheed Gansham, Deputy Superintendent of Police who was killed in a militant encounter in Kashmir Valley in 1999. He said that police has taken up such developmental works under Civic Action Programme which will be continued for public benefits. He said that the stadium will play avital role in the long run and will provide an opportunity to the kids and young people for recreational activities.

The maintenance and care of stadium will be taken up by School management Sports committee. The respectable of the area appreciated the role of Police. The opening ceremony was held by the police in which local population also participated who lauded police for giving them such an important stadium.
