94 year old freedom fighter fighting for justice since last 7 years | Only son grabs property and throws him out off his house | | Asif Iqbal Naik EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, June 16: In one of the most brazen incident of inhuman treatment meted out to a father by the hands of his own son, a 94 year old freedom fighter from Kishtwar, Bishroop Sharma is fighting for justice in a revenue court in mountainous District of Kishtwar since last 7 years thus put question mark on the duration of delivery of justice in our country, where a system in place fails to deliver a justice to old person like Bishroop Sharma, who had already completes his 94 years of his life. Freedom fighter Bishroop Sharma, who took part in three wars including World War II and also participated in war against Pakistan and China, besides taking active part in three wars, he also took part in freedom struggle movement against British rule in India. He is now helpless, helpless before his own son namely Dev Raj, who not only grabbed his land, but also throws him out of his own land, that makes him dependent on others for pity things at the age of 94 years. According to Bishroop Sharma, who was accompanied by his two daughter for attending Revenue Court in Kishtwar said that he was fighting a land dispute with his only son Dev Raj since last 7 years and like past practice, Revenue Court issues fresh date for next hearing every time. He said that this practice is going on since last 7 years and every time he attended the court with the hope that justice will be delivered to him. He said that he had a piece of land measuring 13 Marlas in village Panditgham on the outskirts of Kishtwar Municipality. He said that out of 13 Marlas land in question, he had already given half of his land willingly to his son and said that he keep the rest of the land for construction of house for himself. He said that out of his ancestral properties, he received no share and said that he had purchased the said land out of his own money which was grabbed by his son. He said that he had his own old house constructed some 63 years ago and was in miserable condition and said that he sold it some 8 years ago after the death of his wife. He said after selling his old house, he thinks to construct new one in said piece of land, which he keep reserve for himself, but his son stopped him from doing so and virtually grabbed his piece of land for which he is fighting since last 7 years in Revenue Court at Kishtwar. He blames that revenue authorities were hand in glow with his son, as a result of which the Revenue authorities linger on the case by issuing fresh date of hearing time and again. He said that after getting dejected by lower Revenue court, he along with his daughter approach Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kishtwar for sympathetical consideration of his case. He said that ACR Kishtwar has assured him for justice and said that he (ACR) have also called NT Kishtwar and issued necessary direction to him. He said that after the grabbing of his land by his own son, he was forced to leave a miserable life in a rented accommodation. He said that at the age of 94, he wants to lead a comfortable life, but the action of his son makes his life like a hell. Bishroop Sharma's daughters who accompanied him during court hearing and got married in Jammu said that it is not possible for them to come to Kishtwar each and every time from Jammu to attended the frequent court hearings and demands speedy disposal of case. They said that, even facing hardship in his own life, they wowed to continue its fight against injustice meted out with her father by her own brother. The said that they hoped that justice will be delivered to her father at the age of 94. They said that if Revenue Court fails to deliver justice to her father, the final court of the God will surely make justice with her 94 year old father who is moving from pillar to post in search of Justice since last 7 years. |
