| Historical Chogan Maidan witnesses mega scouts, guides programme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, JUNE 17:
Thousands of scouts and guides of Kishtwar and Inderwal, Paddar, Panji, Villow, Mughal Maidan, Chatroo and other interior places of Kishtwar and Inderwal made superb performances at historical Chogan Maidan here todaay.
On this occasion the MLA Kishtwar, Sajad Ahmad Kitchloo, Ex- R&B Minister and MLA Inderwal, G. M. Saroori, Chief Commissioner, Scouts and Guides and Director Information, Renzushah, Dy. Commissioner, Kishtwar, G. H. Malik, S. P. Kishtwar, Kulbeer Singh, Senior officers of Education department and other high level personalities of the area were present.
Scouts and Guides unanimously raised the voice for speeding up the formalities for construction of Villow Sinkpora Tunnel so that distance between Kashmir to Kishtwar is brought down to a couple of hours.
Saroori as well as Sajad Kitchloo supported the voice of Scouts and Guides and assured them that they will also work hard to ensure that work on this tunnel which is vision of the people of the both areas for long time is translated into reality.
Wearing colourful uniforms with scouts caps and scarves, the Scouts and Guides presented a guard of honor to the dignitaries. The contingents of 40- schools participated in the march-past. While speaking on the occasion both Saroori and Sajad Kitchloo appreciated J&K Scouts and Guides affiliated with All India Boys Scouts for taking personal interest in training and introducing the the scouts and guides movement in far flung district of Kishtwar.
