| PDP to hold party elections from August | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, June 17: The organizational elections of Peoples Democratic Party will be held from August 1, 2011. This was stated by a party spokesman.
The organizational elections are held after every three years to elect the office bearers at different organizational levels which culminate with the election of party president, he added.
The spokesman said that the elections for Kashmir division will begin from 1st August while in Jammu division these will start from August 3, 2011. The whole process will be completed within one month.
To conduct smooth elections Ved Prakash Gupta, Muratza Ah Khan, Dhaman Bhasin, Shanti Devi, Ab Haq Khan, Qazi Mohd Afzal, Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura has been nominated as returning officers and Baldev Salathia, Flail Singh, M Hussain Ali Wafa, A R Zawoora, Mohdammad Ashraf Mir and Saifudin Bhat as observers.
