PNB Chairman ,MD distributes 120 kissan credit cards | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 17: In his maiden visit to City of Temples Jammu today, K R Kamath, Chairman & Managing Director ( MD) Punjab National Bank distributed about 120 Kissan Credit Cards aggregating to over 75 lakhs to various beneficiaries through its Specialized Agriculture Branch at Bishnah. Addressing the gathering, Kamath informed that the Bank has a vision of crossing aggregate business of 10 lakh crore by March 2013 with a projected customer base of 15 crores. Kamath added that he felt proud to head an institution that has sound financial base, global vision, commitment for the poorest of the poor and ever increasing desire to serve one & all in the best possible way. In this regard, he added that Bank had 5189 branches spread across the length & breadth of the country with about 5300 ATMs providing round the clock hassle free service to the customers. The Bank had a business of 5 lakh 55 thousand crores with highest CD Ratio of 78.30%. He revealed that Bank shall do all possible measures to ensure the revival of trade, tourism and industry in the strife torn state of J&K.
Kamath inaugurated Bank`s ATM at Ratnuchak & upgraded extension counter at Ratnuchak into full fledged branch. With this branch, the Bank has now 37 branches in rural areas in J&K circle. Speaking at the function, Ashok Gupta, Deputy General Manager, Circle Head J&K explained in detail various customer friendly schemes & facilities brought to the door step of customers by86 branches & 63 ATMS in the circle.
