Jitendra Singh in BJP delegation to Washington | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu,June 17: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive Member and chief spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir, Jitendra Singh, who is also a nationally known Diabetologist and noted author,will be member of the high profile All-India BJP delegation visiting Washington DC on the invitation of the Republican Party of USA . The visit is a part of the programme for party to party relationship organised by the “International Republican Institute" USA from 20 June to 24 June. Dharmendra Pradhan , BJP’s National General Secretary and former MP will be the leader of the delegation while BJP’s National Secretary Vani Tripathi will be the coordinator. The select eight member BJP delegation will also include Ravindra Sathe from Mumbai, Poonam Behn Jat MP from Gujarat, Raghav Lakhanpal from UP, Sanjay Jha from Bihar and Saroj Pande MP from Chhattisgarh. In the letter of invitation addressed to BJP National President Nitin Gadkari, the President of the International Republican Institute Lorne W. Corner has hoped that the visit by the BJP delegation will help strengthening bilateral relations and discuss among other things the Republican ideas and concepts, Republican party’s efforts to promote women participation in politics and the current political developments in India as seen by the BJP. The BJP delegation’s Washington iternary will include a visit to the White House , meeting with Republican National Committee, meeting with members of the House of Representatives ,meeting with Republican women leaders and round–table interaction with academics, think tank experts, US Congress office bearers as well as NGO leaders. Among the prominent dignitaries with whom exchange interactions may be held include the Indian origin Governor of Louisiana , Bobby Jindal and Governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley. The delegation will also be hosted a reception dinner by NRI Organisation of Friends of India. After its return to New Delhi ,the delegation will report back its inputs from Washington to the BJP party central high command.
