| People blocked Kishtwar-Batote NH | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, June 17: Residents of Malipath Kishtwar held a strong protest against the officials of Public Health Engineering Department (PHE) over the scarcity of drinking water and blocked the Kishtwar-Batote National Highway at Malipath.
According to the agitating people despite repeated request to the officials of PHE department regarding drinking water scarcity in Malipath area having more than population of 2000, the department has failed to provide regular drinking supply since last few weeks.
They also said that even if the water was supplied to them, it is not fit for drinking purpose. On reception of information regarding blockade of National Highway by the residence of Malipath, police and senior officials of PHE department rush to the spot and pacified the agitating people.
On the assurance of Senior PHE Officials, the agitating people called off the protest and the traffic was restored on National Highway.
