Imam Jamia Kishtwar threatens agitation | Shift wine shop in 2 days’ | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kishtwar June 17:- Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo today urged the authorities to shift government wine shop from bus stand Kishtwar within two days. In his Friday sermon, the Imam threatened agitation incase the demand was not met. He said the wine shop was located only few hundred meters away from Jamia Masjid and public institutions Islamia Faredia Education & Research Institute and Adarsh Balniketan School where thousands of students seek education. He also demanded stern action against the culprits involved in attack of Ex SDM Kishtwar Khurshid Amed Dev and Amir Hussain Naqeeb. He said that police failure in arresting the culprits behind the two attacks has sent wrong signals toi different quarters. Without naming anybody, he said some communal elements were playing politics on arrest of some culprits behind the attack of Amir Hussain Naqeeb. When contacted Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Mohammad Hussain Malik said that District Administration have received no written complaint from any one regarding the shifting of wine shop. He said that instead of using the mosque, the people should approach the administration with a written complaint. “After receiving a written complaint we would take up the matter with the concerned”, he said.
