Mercury at 19.8 degrees; hottest night of season in Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Jun 17 : People experienced the hottest night of the season after the minimum temperature was recorded at 19.8 degrees Celsius in the Kashmir valley, where cloudy weather in the morning brought some relief.
A Met department spokesman said today the weather would be remained same for the next two days.
He said the minimum was recorded at 19.8 degrees, five degrees above normal. The earlier highest temperature was recorded yesterday at 17.8 degrees, three degrees above normal.
However, people woke up to a cloudy morning, providing some relief. Their joy was short lived when the sun came out as the day progressed.
The spokesman said rain or thundershowers would occur at few places in Jammu and isolated places in the valley. Ladakh region will remain dry during the next 24 hours.
The sky would remain partly cloudy with possibility of thundery development tomorrow in Srinagar. The maximum and minimum will remain above normal, he added.
