Narrow one-wkt win for Khalsa Club | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 17: Khalsa Club today registered a narrow one-wicket win over Red Rose Club Arnia to consolidate their position in the ongoing Narinder Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament at MA Stadium, here. Earlier, Red Rose won the toss and decided to bat first made 176 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted 30 overs, which, in reply, Khalsa Club chased in 29.1 overs with one wicket in hand. Kumesh was top scorer with 36-ball 52 runs, followed by Deepu and Rakesh, who contributed 22 and 20 runs respectively. From Khalsa Club, Gaganpreet Singh and Harpreet Singh took two wickets each while Amandeep Singh bagged one. Later, chasing a target of near six-run per over, Khalsa attained the goal making 180 runs sparing four deliveries of their innings. Sukhvinder Singh made maximum 44 runs coming off 36 balls. Ricky and Manvinder Singh contributed 24 and 23 runs respectively. Ravinder was most successful bowler from Red Rose Club with four for 36 runs in 5.1 overs. Aman clinched two.
