Although there were large scale compliant of black marketing of ration in Rajouri district, it has been exposed today when a ration dealer was selling 20 bags of ration to a shopkeeper in Darhal area of
Rajouri district.
There are various complaints of open sale of government ration in the Rajouri markets and officials of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department in connivance of ration dealers are allegedly
selling this ration on low rates to the shopkeepers whereas the ration card holders are been denied ration.
In Budhal and Darhal area, local were already complaining that they are not getting the ration and it is being sold by CAPD officials and dealers in the open market. On the tip off, Darhal police has reportedly caught a ration dealer red handed with he was unloading government ration at a private shop
in Darhal area. Sources said that police had already watching the dealer and today they trapped him while selling the ration red handed.
As per reports, police has lodged an FIR bearing number 63 under section 3/7 and 409 against one Mohammad Naseer son of Mohammad Yaqoob a resident of Sokar area of Darhal and a ration Dealer of CAPD and started investigation. Police is also questioning him about his involvements in earlier cases of black-marketing.
Station House Officer of the police station Darhal, Deepak Jasrotia has confirmed that they have caught a ration dealer red handed when he was selling government ration to private party. Following police unearth this deal, locals said that all the ration of the area are being sold in the open ,market and poor people are getting nothing on the name of ration in the area. Similar complaints have been received from Budhal area.
