SDA officials attacked in Pantha Chowk | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, June 18 (KNS): An official team of Srinagar Development Authority was Saturday ‘thrashed’ by drivers of Delhi Public School near Pantha Chowk on city outskirts when the former tried to implement a court order. Reports said SDA team led by its executive engineer and deputy director development had gone to Pantha Chowk on High Court orders to vacate the land for Sumo stand. “As soon they reached the place, the drivers of DPS who had parked there vehicles on the land attacked the officials and took them as hostages,” eyewitnesses told KNS. Police rushed to the spot and saved the officials from the clutches of the drivers, reports said. Later Police lodged FIR 45/2011 against DPS administration. The chairperson SDA, Dilshad Khan told KNS, “I had sent the team to implement HC order. I’ve taken up the issue with Deputy Chief Minister, SSP and Div Com and have lodged an FIR against the culprits.”
