IGNOU revises selection criteria for B.Sc. Nursing Programme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 18: Indira Gandhi National Open University has revised the selection criteria for admission to post basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme from the forthcoming admission session, i.e., January 2012. Entrance Examination (OPENNET - I) for B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) will be conducted in August 2011. The entrance examination, OPENNET - I will be based of general nursing midwifery (GNM) syllabus prescribed by Indian Nursing Council (INC). The much sought-after B.Sc. Nursing Post Basic programme was launched in Jammu region in the Year 2009-10 and the first batch started from January 2010 Session. Earlier the admission was made on the basis of merit acquired by the candidates in terms of academic qualifications and work experience. It is also worth a note that the admission for B.Sc. nursing post basic will be applicable and carried out in January session only while as for most of the other Bachelor and Masters level programmes the admission is carried out throughout the year under walk-in category in both January and July Sessions. Application-cum-prospectus are available at regional centre Jammu and also at Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing, Narwal, Jammu.
