| Dharam Pal Sharma calls on Union Tourism Minister Demands upgradation of tourism infrastructure in Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 18:
Former Member Parliament and Senior Vice President Jammu and Kashmir
Pardesh Congress Committee Dharam Pal Sharma met the Union Tourism
Minister Subodh Kant Sahai today at Jammu and presented charter of
demands through a memorandum regarding tourism sector in Jammu region.
Minister gave a patient hearing to Sharma and assured him that he will
plan his tour programme exclusively for Jammu region shortly and
personally visit all those tourist spots mentioned in the memorandum,
adding that he is very keen to explore tourism in Jammu region too as
the Jammu is the gateway of Jammu and Kashmir.The senior Congress
leader raised issues pertaining to development of various tourist,
RELIGIOUS and historically significant spots including Mansar and
Surisar Lakes, Bawe wali Mata, artificial lake project in Jammu
Noori-Chhamb, Sanasar , Sudhmahadev and Mantali , Bani-Bhaderwah Road
link, Katra-Shivkhori Tourist Circuit, Jio-Pota on River Chenab at
Akhnoor , Sukrala Mata Shrine besides cable car project for
Sudhmahadev-Patnitop
