Big 89-run win for Gorkha Club

JAMMU, June 18: Gorkha Cricket Club (GCC) today registered a big 89 runs win against Singh Cricket Club to move into the second round of the Narinder Sharma (Shanga) Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at MA Stadium, here.
Batting first, after winning the toss, GCC set a target of 187 runs losing all their wickets in given 30 overs, which, in reply, Singh Club could not chase and the whole side bowled out for 97 runs in 22.5 overs.
Nikhil made highest 59 runs while Kunal and Tushar Gurang contributed 41 and 32 runs respectively. From Singh Club, Sushil was most successful bowler with four for 32 in six overs, followed by Sourab who took two and Pankaj one.
Later, chasing a target of over six-run per over, Singh Club could not face the bowling wrath of Gorkha Club and the whole side bundled out at 97 in 22.5 overs. Chandan and Deepak were main scorers with 14 runs each. From Gorkha Club, Ishmeet and Sagar claimed three wickets each while Kunal took one.
