Friends Club to face Islamia in Gufran T20 final

EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, June 18: Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Ghat shall take on Islamia Cricket Club Banihal (ICCB) in the final of the ongoing All India 7th Gufran Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Championship, organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda at Sports Stadium here.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, played today, FCC defeated Banaras Cricket Club (BCC) by 20 runs. Batting first, after winning the toss, FCC made 170 runs losing all their wickets. Manjay Singh and Vipan were main scorers with 53 and 17 runs respectively while Shamsul Huda and Jatinder took two wickets each from BCC.
In reply, Banaras Cricket Club could not chase the total and the whole side bowled out for 150. Rahul and Shamsul Huda were top scorers with 29 and 19 runs in their respective accounts. From FCC, Manjit and Yawar Wani claimed three and two wickets respectively.
Manoj Singh from winner, Friends Club was adjudged as man of the match.

Meanwhile, in another semi-final of the day, Islamia Cricket Club Banihal (ICCB) trounced Juniar Mass Sonawar Srinagar by two wickets.
After winning the toss and decided to bat first, Junior Mass Sonawar bowled out for 94 runs with Muzaffer (junior) and Irfan being top scorers with 21 and 21 runs respectively. From ICCB, Amjad and Jalil took two wickets each.
Batting second, ICCB chased the target in 18 overs with two wickets in hand. Jalil and Imran played fine innings of 29 and 19 runs in their respective accounts. From JMSS, Muzaffer (junior) and Atif Nabi clinched three and two wickets respectively.
Later, Jalil was declared man of the man of the match for his all round performance
In today’s semi-finals, District Development Commissioner Doda, Farooq Khan and 2IC of 10 RR (Rajput), Tanay Kothey were special guests, who gave away mean of the match trophies. Prof.Zaheer Hashmi, Nuzhat Iqbal Zarger and Tanveer Wani were among others present.
