J&K youth second to none in capacity: Omar

SRINAGAR, JUNE 18 – Reposing faith in Jammu and Kashmir youth as the best human resource of the State, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Saturday assured his Government’s total support to them to crack the service examinations and make their mark at the State and the National
levels.
“You are second to none in your capacity and ability to qualify these”, he told them asking for inculcating interest to sit in such examinations and showing firm determination to make the dent. “As
has been shown by Shah Faisal securing the top position in IAS examination recently, and by the former Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai several years earlier securing
the second position”, he said stressing on developing the zest to pursue the goal.
Speaking at a Seminar-cum-Workshop on the subject ‘How to crack the civil service examination’, organized by ASCENT Group here, the Chief Minister said that his Government would provide every sort
of assistance to the students intending to sit in such prestigious and national level examinations.
“This year nine students from the State have qualified civil service examination, I would like it to be 19 next year and 50 in coming years”, he said expressing the confidence in the ability of
youth of Jammu and Kashmir. “I would like to see you not only as Administrative Secretaries and Heads of the Departments in the State but as Cabinet Secretary, Foreign Secretary, Home Secretary and other
Union Secretaries at the National level”, he told them asking for hardworking and enthusiasm to achieve the goal.
