Renowned educationist of Kishtwar passes away | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, June 18: A renowned educationist of Kishtwar Mohammad Abdullah Malik died here in Kishtwar in wee hours of Saturday morning after prolonged illness. He was 85 years old and served in education department for more than 35 years. After retiring from services, Mohammad Abdullah Malik joined as Principal in two famous private institutes of Kishtwar District viz Sir Iqbal Academy and Green Model High School. He will be remembered for his teaching skills particularly in Mathematics and Science. He played important role in bringing the modern methods of teaching practice in educationally backward Kishtwar district. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard near Chowgan ground Kishtwar. Thousands of people from different walks of life including the members from minority community participated in funeral procession. Meanwhile several members from political and social organization expressed shock over the death of Mohammad Abdullah Malik. Jugal Bhandari of Congress and Anil Parihar of Panther Party described the death of Mohammad Abdullah Malik as big loss to the field of education, and said that the vacuum created after the death of Malik cannot be filled.
