Jammu, June 18: Students Scholars Joint Action Committee has taken a stern note of the barbaric act of Deepanker Sen Gupta, OSD to Controller, who had slapped a student during the pre Ph.D exam of the Buddhists Studies and used abusive and offensive language against him.
In a press conference held in this regard by its president Sunil Sharma, it was held that Depanker Gupta had become the Professor by flouting the norms of the JU during the regime of the VC Amitabh Mattoo.
Briefing to the media Sunil Sharma said that yesterday happening was a very serious act of indiscipline by the teacher and it should be condemned seriously.
He informed that Deepanker Sen slapped a student on exam desk without any reason and later attacked with a sharp weapon on him, which is the act of cruelty.
“Though the other students tried to pacify him, but Deeapnker Sen also abused them and warned for dare consequence. Lovejeet Singh who got the serious injury on shoulder got the two stitches on shoulder and one on the neck,” said Sharma.
Sunil Sharma has asked for immediate suspension of Deepanker Sen Gupta before initiating any inquiry by the Jammu university authority regarding this matter and has warned for complete bandh on Monday.
He also said that Deepanker Sen should be immediately removed from the post of the OSD and an enquiry on his undue promotion and other benefits be initiated.
