| 2nd day protest against PDD in Rajouri | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT

After damage to Rs 2 crore cost Transformer at Kalakote by lightening, public rage continued in Rajouri where people hold protest demonstration at various places blocking Highway and demanding
investigation in the diversion of 50 KVH transformer from Kalakote to Akhnoor.
As per reports, thousands of residents throng Jammu Poonch Highway at Lameri, Siot, Nowshera, Sunderbani and Bhambla to register their protest on 2nd day against the Power Development Department for non supply of electricity in Kalakote, Nowshera and Sunderbani areas. They
also raised anti-government slogans and blocked the traffic for about one hour. The residents said that they are languishing in dark and government has turned mute spectator. “We are without any electricity
for the last one week and government has not taken any step to replace the damaged transformer in Kalakote which speaks itself about the seriousness of the government towards the public issues”, a protestor said adding that although they were waiting the government will
replace the transformer keeping in view the urgency but they could not replace it which forced them to come to the streets and hold protest demonstration. They added that their protest will continue on if
government will not come with concrete solution of the power supply.
