JAMMU, June 18: A factory was today raided by food safety and drug control department (FS&DCD) for allegedly manufacturing food products under "unhygenic" conditions.
Acting on inputs about the manufacturing of tomato catch-up, pickles and other items under unhygienic conditions, officials led by FS&DCD commissioner Satish Gupta raided the factory at Muthi and took samples of the manufactured items and destroyed sub-standard raw martial on the spot.
Officials sources said the seized samples would be sent to laboratory for examination. "After the report comes, a challan would be produced against the accused in the court of law," the sources added.
The factory is owned by Joginder Singh and the items manufactured there were being sold under the brand name of "Today", sources said.
