| 1 killed, couple hurt in car mishap at Thathri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 18: An Alto car today skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Naseeb Nagar in Thathri, Doda, resulting in the instant death of its driver and serious injuries to a couple.
The couple was on its way to the residence of ex-minister GM Saroori to attend the marriage of his son, police sources said.
Sources said while the car was about 30 km short of Saroori's residence, it skidded off the road at Naseeb Nagar and fell into a deep gorge.
While driver Narinder Sharma, son of Harbans Lal of Bishnah, was killed on the spot, Sanjay and his wife Geeta Devi survived with critical injuries. They were airlifted to GMC hospital here and their condition was stated to be out of danger.
The Thathri police had registered a case in this connection. |
