Rakesh, Rajinder power LCC to 8-wkt win | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 19: The duo of Rakesh Koul and Rajinder Saini today helped Laxmi Cricket Club (LCC) register an impressive eight-wicket win over Trikuta Cricket Club (TCC) in the ongoing Narinder Sharma (Shanga) Memorial Cricket Tournament at MA Stadium, here. While Rakesh made unbeaten 66, Rajinder contributed 48 runs to power LCC’s big win. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Trikuta Club bowled out for 164 runs in given 30 overs, which, in reply, LCC chased 22.2 overs for the loss of two wickets. Sandeep Singh played superb innings of 70 runs while Bhupinder Singh and Rinku Saini contributed 34 and 14 runs respectively. From LCC, Puneet clinched three wickets, followed by Gagan and Rakesh Koul, who shared two each. Later, chasing the target, LCC attained the goal making 165 runs for two wickets sparing 7.4 overs of their innings. Rakesh Koul played match winning innings of 66 runs coming off 47 balls studded with nine boundaries. Rajinder Saini did a great job adding valuable 34 runs off 27 deliveries while Gokul made 38 runs with the help of two hits to the fence. Sandeep Singh and Sahil shared one wicket each from Trikuta Club.
