| 3-day workshop on ‘orientation-cum-capacity building for ZEOs concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 19:A 3-day workshop on ‘orientation-cum-capacity building’ for Zonal Education Officers of Jammu division under gender component concluded here today. Started on June 17 in the meeting hall of State Project Officer Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, was held under the chairmanship of State Project Director, SSA.
During the workshop, ZEOs were oriented about the guidelines with financial norms for implementation of the National Programme for Education of Girls at Elementary Level (NPEGEL) and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidalaya (KGBV).
Progress under NPEGEL and KGBV was also reviewed in detail. The final day of the workshop provided an opportunity to the ZEOs for direct interaction with new State Project Director, Yasha Mudgal.
Several issues were discussed threadbare and the new State Project Director tried to clarify various doubts among the ZEOs regarding implementation of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. She also asked the ZEOs to contribute actively in the implementation of the scheme and ensure timely execution of the projects.
